Skill-as-a-Service

Hire skills by the hour, the project, or the year.

Skill-as-a-Service gives your company verified professionals on demand — employed, paid and managed on ISDIC payroll. You get the skill. We carry the hiring, compliance and replacement risk.

What the offer is made of

  • 3

    Ways to engage

Hourly, project or long-term — under one master agreement

  • 4

    Verification gates

Community performance, assessment, interview, background checks

  • 4

Skill domains, each with a community

Cybersecurity, AI & ML, cloud & DevOps, software development

  • 1

    Contract, one accountable partner

ISDIC is the employer of record for every professional

The talent trade-off

Every way to get skills today forces a compromise.

Skill-as-a-Service combines the speed of a marketplace, the accountability of a staffing firm and the quality bar of a full-time hire.

  • Full-time hiring

    Too slow, too fixed

Months to recruit, a permanent cost for a temporary need, and severance when priorities change.

  • Freelance marketplaces

    Too risky at scale

You vet, manage and chase. Self-reported skills, misclassification exposure and unclear ownership of what gets built.

  • Staffing & augmentation firms

    Too rigid, too costly

Long minimum commitments, heavy markups, and résumés that look better than the work behind them.

Three ways to engage

Pick the model that fits the work — switch when the work changes.

All three run under one master agreement, so moving between them is a new statement of work, not a new supplier.

Short-term & hourly

Hourly, weekly, or up to three months

Bring in a verified expert for exactly as long as the work takes — a few hours of specialist help, a sprint, or cover for a few months. You pay only for time used.

  • Expert hours

Audits, reviews, fixes and consultations, billed by the hour.

  • Weekly sprints

A dedicated block of time for a launch or a deadline.

  • Up to three months

Cover for leave, a backlog or a seasonal peak.

Companies use it for

  • Security audits and penetration tests
  • Urgent bug fixes
  • Code and architecture reviews
  • Launch-week support
  • Leave cover

Project-based

On-demand skills for a defined scope

A squad assembled around a scope and a set of milestones. ISDIC manages delivery against the SOW; you review the work at each milestone rather than managing individuals.

  • Milestone delivery

Scope, milestones and acceptance written into one SOW.

  • A squad, not a CV

The mix of skills the scope needs, sized with you.

  • Managed by ISDIC

A named account manager owns delivery and reporting.

Companies use it for

  • A module or service built to a spec
  • Platform migrations
  • Security programmes with a defined end state
  • Data and reporting builds

Long-term

Annual packages, on ISDIC payroll

An extended team for a year or more. The professionals work in your tools and your hours, and stay employed, paid and managed by ISDIC — so headcount, compliance and replacement risk sit with us.

  • Your extended team

Working in your stack, your rituals and your time zone.

  • Shift cover

    Follow-the-sun cover, including round-the-clock rotas.

  • ISDIC payroll

Employment, payroll, benefits and statutory compliance stay with ISDIC.

Companies use it for

  • Security operations rotas
  • A standing engineering pod
  • Long-running platform and data teams
  • Support and QA functions

Why companies choose it

The flexibility of freelance. The accountability of an employer.

ISDIC is not a marketplace that hands over profiles and walks away. We employ the professional, stand behind the work and own the risk.

  • Proven skill, not claimed skill

Talent is ranked by how it performs in live CTFs, hackathons and industry challenges — the activities ISDIC already runs — and then assessed against your brief.

  • Start in days, not quarters

A pre-verified bench means a shortlist while the need is still current, and onboarding as soon as you approve the profiles.

  • No employment liability

ISDIC is the employer of record. Payroll, benefits, taxes, statutory compliance and misclassification risk stay with us.

  • Scale up, down or switch

Move from hourly to project to long-term as the work matures. Add or release people at the notice written into the SOW.

  • Global rates, local overlap

India-based talent at globally competitive rates, working hours aligned to your US, EU or APAC team.

  • Managed, with a guarantee

A dedicated account manager, scheduled performance check-ins, and replacement at no cost if someone is not the right fit.

The ISDIC verified standard

Four gates before anyone joins your team.

The community is the edge: ISDIC chapters run the competitions and challenges where these professionals are first observed, long before a client ever meets them.

  1. Gate 01

    Community performance

Scores and results from the CTFs, hackathons and industry challenges run across ISDIC chapters — performance under pressure, observed long before a client ever sees it.

  2. Gate 02

    Role-specific assessment

A hands-on test built around the stack and the tools named in your brief, not a generic aptitude screen.

  3. Gate 03

    Expert and English interview

Technical depth, plus the communication readiness a distributed global team needs.

  4. Gate 04

    Background verification

Identity, education, employment and reference checks.

Where the first gate comes from: the community curriculum and the chapters that run it.

How we compare

One partner instead of three compromises.

How the models generally differ. It describes categories of supplier, not any particular company.

Built for procurement

Ready for your legal, security and finance teams.

From a single hourly specialist to a multi-year team, every engagement runs on the same contracts and controls.

  • MSA and SOW contracting

One master agreement; each new piece of work is added by SOW.

  • Full IP assignment

Everything built on your engagement belongs to you.

  • NDA and data protection terms

Individual NDAs for every professional, with data-protection terms agreed per engagement.

  • Secure access controls

Your devices, VPN and access policies — or ours, if you would rather.

  • Multi-currency invoicing

One consolidated invoice, in the currency your finance team works in.

  • One point of accountability

A named account manager for delivery, escalation and the quarterly business review.

How it works

From a brief to people working.

Four steps, one account manager throughout.

  1. Share your brief

Skills, engagement model, headcount, time-zone overlap and the date you want people working.

  2. Get a verified shortlist

Profiles with community performance, assessment results, availability and the proposed rate.

  3. Interview and approve

Meet the people you like. Sign one SOW under the master agreement.

  4. Onboarded and delivering

Working in your tools and your hours — managed, paid and supported by ISDIC.

Questions buyers ask

Before you sign.

  • Who owns the IP created during an engagement?

You do. Every ISDIC professional signs an IP assignment and an NDA, and the master agreement assigns all work product to your company.

  • How is this different from a freelance marketplace?

A marketplace hands you profiles and leaves the vetting, management and risk with you. ISDIC employs the professional, verifies them through four gates, manages the engagement and replaces anyone who is not the right fit.

  • Can we switch between hourly, project and long-term models?

Yes. All three run under one master agreement, so moving from hourly help to a project squad to a long-term team is a new SOW rather than a new supplier.

  • Will the talent work in our time zone?

Overlap is part of the brief. Teams are staffed to the hours you need, including round-the-clock cover on long-term engagements.

  • Can we hire someone onto our own payroll later?

That conversation is welcome, and the terms are agreed in the SOW before the engagement starts rather than negotiated afterwards.

  • What happens if a resource is not the right fit?

Tell your account manager. Re-matching starts immediately and the replacement is at no cost to you.
